What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: It is vitally important that businesses ëstablish and enforce clear expectations of the marketing potential inherent in most [CRM] systems.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: Customer Relationship Managëment CRM, a concept that has been around since the mid 90s, has its roots in the technology of sales automation and call center operations.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: To maximize the [CRM] potëntial for success, there are three key elements that need close consideration throughout all aspects of the implementation: pre-import data cleansing, data enhancement, and data integration.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: Without any firm sense of ëconomic value, senior Management has few options other than pulling the plug on the Customer Relationship Management [CRM] project.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: Quite often, ënterprises rush to select a [CRM] vendor and technical team to implement its software suite but do not take the time to establish a real strategy that responds to the enterprise’s unique layout.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: Quite often wë see loss of enthusiasm from employees at the start of Customer Relationship Management [CRM] integration.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: Properly understood, [CRM] is ìa philosophy that puts thë Customer at the design point, [IT] ís getting intimate with the Customer. We view [CRM] more as a strategy than a process. [IT] ís designed to understand and anticipate the needs of the current and potential Customer. Once you nail that, there ís a plethora of technology out there that helps capture Customer data and external sources, and consolidate [IT] in a central warehouse to add intelligence to the overall [CRM] strategy.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: Proactive Customer Rëlationship Management not only can lead to long-lasting and loyal customers, but also gives you a leg up over competitors.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: As is easy to demonstratë, the tools of Customer Relationship Management [CRM] can be associated with the fundamental financial metrics of the organization.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: When integrating a [CRM] systëm, a enterprise must first review the business processes, applications and technologies [IT] uses to deal with customers. [IT] should also consider its schedule, its budget and what [IT] hopes to gain from a [CRM] implementation.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: The Customer Rëlationship Management [CRM] result is more time for selling and more satisfied customers.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: First and foremost, [IT] is imperativë that the Customer Relationship Management [CRM] system be tightly integrated with your organization’s email system.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: The presënt scenario of enterprises using “poorly implemented” multi channel strategies for living up to the expectations of customers is bringing both Customer satisfaction and Customer loyalty down the ladder.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: Of the [CRM] vendors tëll you they can provide seamless integration? Don’t believe them.
What is Customer Relationship Management CRM?: One of the këys of [CRM] success is acting on the understanding that customers plows the intended end-users of [CRM] systems, not the staff of the organization that is deploying the system.

Smaller CRM Solutions Providers Have Distinct Advantages Including Lower Price
Jim Meade, Ph.D, an industry analyst and software reviewer recently noted, “While all the hype and fanfare traditionally surround the mainstream players, every so often I come across a smaller, less-known company whose products do an even better job than the big players of meeting the functional and financial requirements of the customers they serve.” Meade noted that he recently found the same unexpected power and value to be available from lesser-known providers in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) space. Meade suggested, “While we industry analysts and gurus tend to pay homage to the big guns like Siebel and Microsoft, smaller companies like Commence Corporation of Tinton Falls, NJ that may not appear on our analyst radar screen are quietly meeting customer needs in the CRM sector.”
Commence has been supporting the business requirements of small to mid-size
companies for more than a decade and has an impressive track record for
delivering quality products and services. Positioned squarely between low-end
contact managers and costly, overly complex higher-end solutions, Commence
CRM strikes a nice balance among functionality, ease of use, and low cost of
ownership.

sales automation to marketing campaign management and customer support (or

When You Think About Business Software, Think Open Source
When You Think About Business Software, Think Open Source
Is Business Software really out of reach for a Small Business?
Not anymore. What is it that a business needs, if it’s made of let’s say 3-5 people with one office (plus 3-5 home offices), some assets and a big desire to succeed?
Webmail
A synchronized calendar
A Website
Some sort of CRM system
A sales automation tool would be cool
A project management software (although they don’t know it yet)
Somewhere to store documents – like a Document Manager
And ultimately – an ERP programme
These could total an investment that ranges into millions of dollars/euros. That is obviously too much for a starting business, so let’s go a bit lower. How low? Well, how about down to zero? The reality is that all (not most, but all) of these types of programs in software areas that used to be dominated by monopolists, are freely available today. Think open source.
So, What Is Open Source?
Open source stands for open standards in the development of code that runs for software. For developers that means they can freely edit the code in a way they feel, or the bigger group feels, is pragmatic. For the common user, it means that software is free. And not only that, it also means the software was developed by a large group of people instead of a single corporation, and is being improved constantly. Linus’ law, considered the law of open source, states that given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow. The more developers, and the more room for them to improve constantly, the less bugs we encounter.
And open source is gaining popularity. Talking of software that a business needs, we could take Joomla for example. It is an open source content management software for websites that has been downloaded a stunning 15 million times. Together with Drupal, another open-source CMS, they run a large percentage of the websites in the world, including visually very stunning, but also many important websites. Corporations and organisations for whom software is critical to be top level, are turning to open source.
The same is with other types of software. The collaboration and productivity tool eGroupware has received over 2 million downloads from sourceforge.net. What is more exemplary of support for the software is the 94% approval ranking. Document Management software Alfresco has reseived over 1.7 million downloads. It’s approval rating is lower mostly because it is hard to implement out-of-the-box. In reality there is no box. But there are plenty of fixes that make it run smoothly, as we have done in our product. After tweaking, it is one of the best document management softwares out there. A browse through Alfresco’s customer line-up reveals names like VirginMobile, FedEx and KLM, which are big players.
Smart Lazy
There are plenty of arguments that attest to the smartness of using open source, and they will be covered in future posts, but for a small business it takes some time to roll out all of that excellent open source software and make it work to benefit the company. What a small business needs is something useful, but it needs to be useful now! A smart way to be lazy, so to speak. And those are some of the reasons we thought about deploying this package of integrated open source business software. After some hard work, we might have succeeded. I hope you gained some extra insights after reading this article, and I will finish off with a short video:

How Important is CRM to Your Business?
We all know it is important to know how your company is perceived by your customers or clientele. We also know that the level of customer satisfaction is directly proportional to how your business will do in the future. But as a manager or owner the magic question is: How do I measure this and what can I do about it?
CRM or Customer Relationship Management is the term applied for putting software, hardware and networking in place that improves a company’s dealings with its customers. In the simplest example, a customer might like to be able to access his supplier’s shipping system, so he can find out if the goods were shipped, when they were shipped and where they are now. CRM includes such customer touch functions as help desk, marketing, order entry, technical information and sales automation.
CRM begins when a potential client dials the company number. What happens when the call is answered is critical to creating a new client or keeping an existing one. For example, how many times does the phone ring before the call is answered? Surveys show that in today’s world people won’t wait any longer than five rings before hanging up. Having a phone system that can tell you how many hang-ups (the real ones) you get is critical to whether your company is going to go up or down the ladder of customer satisfaction.
When the call is answered another critical moment occurs. If they are put on hold the patience level doesn’t go much beyond one minute. So your phone system should allow for the caller to get to the department they want quickly. A telephone ‘tree’ can do wonders but you can’t have too many branches. Four is enough to challenge today’s demanding consumer or client. A live attendant is valuable because callers like to talk to a human but if all they do is quickly transfer the caller to a department where they are put on hold for longer than a minute the live attendant isn’t serving a very useful role.
When the caller reaches the respondent does that individual have any information on the caller? If the caller is already a client and the respondent has a pop-up screen on their computer showing information on how long the caller has been a client, what their preferences are, how often they call, their contact information and so on then the company has a definite advantage over a competitor without this technology.
CRM depends on two main factors: how helpful the employees are to the customer and how functional the phone system is in moving callers through the system. These will determine a company’s ability to retain customers and thereby create valuable revenues.

Start Monetizing Parked Domains
Start Monetizing Parked Domains
Internet marketers and business owners who invest in dot coms tend to purchase the “org”, “net” or “info” variations and misspelled versions to prevent competitors from using them. These parked domains may be worth thousands of dollars someday if developed into thriving websites using an affordable site building service.
Benefits of monetizing
Maintaining a huge collection of names is a cash outflow that can be costly when you consider the renewal registration fees that you have to pay for them annually. Balance the outflow by monetizing them to promote cash inflow. Here’s what you can do with them:
Increase their resale value
Keyword names and those with suffixes other than “.com” don’t always sell well, if at all, in the resale market unless these point to active and thriving websites. Your strategy should be to build and develop multiple websites, generate traffic and sell products on them so you can easily resell them in bulk when you’re ready to unload these names.
Start a business
Sell your own items or promote affiliate products on your sites. With sales automation tools, your websites can turn into passive income streams so you can earn while aging your domains.
Build and lease
Offline businesses and traditional brick and mortar establishments often need websites with relevant keywords and visibility to jump start their entry into the Internet. For this business, you’ll have to build and optimize your sites before leasing them out and include an option for them to buy the site lock, stock and barrel when their lease expires.
What you need
You will need the following to monetize your parked domains:
1. website
2. content
3. traffic
4. products and
5. enough time for aging
If you’re an Internet marketer with advanced skills, aging websites is something you can do on your own, but could be overwhelming when you’re looking at a vast collection of about 30 to a hundred names.
If you don’t have the time or the skills for aging your own websites, why not follow the lead of domain experts who outsource this task and use a reliable service to do it for them? An experienced outsourcer will take care of building, adding content, optimizing and feeding fresh articles to your sites for you to get the best return on your investment.
Your parked domains can be worth thousands of dollars someday only if you monetize them now. Our team has the experience and track record to age them for you.

Getting Real Action With Parked Domains
The most coveted website names are “Dot-Coms”. However, a lot of business people and internet marketers will buy other versions of their name as well as some common misspellings. How Do You Define a Good Prospect?
How Do You Define a Good Prospect?
All businesses start as “suspects” until they become prospects, then leads, then clients. A “shotgun” approach to marketing can be demoralizing. Why? Because a lot of effort goes into connecting with potential clients, and if there is no strategy, the return is low yet the work load high.
Think about the last five prospects you have met with. Did you get in front of them all in the same way? Perhaps one called in from your website, another was a referral from a friends, or a meeting at a networking function, response to direct mail letter or an appointment scheduled by a telemarketer. It doesn’t matter which channel you use to obtain your prospect, what really matters if whether they became a client.
We can spend literally hours with curious and inquisitive business owners who seem genuinely interested in our services yet never move forward. Ask yourself why these relationships didn’t “pan out”? What qualifications did these so-called prospects display? Did they seem to have all the time in the world? Did they have specific goals and objectives and most importantly what type of questions did they ask? Most serious and successful business owners spend their time with employees, peers and clients – not vendors. When they do spend time with vendors they usually have questions not about how to do something but what they can expect you to do for them as it relates to their business objectives.
Ironically, prospecting can be a positive experience but only If you think about it in terms of elimination rather than opening the floodgates. The key is to reduce the list of prospects to those most likely to be converted to clients. By eliminating your list of suspects and reducing your list only to prospects, you have a greater chance of acquiring a new account sooner with more efficiency.
Identifying prospects that are more likely to invest into interactive marketing services will go a long way to increasing your closing ratio. Set a goal of one good client per month.
Having realistic expectations will help you separate the wheat from the chaff in a more organized and timesaving manner.
A higher hit rate increases your confidence and reduces discouragement. Carefully look over your list and determine who needs your services, who can afford your services, then focus and engage these companies. If you do your job right, you will be able to offer the “right” services to the “right” businesses that are ready to advance their company.
Follow these 5 steps to get started:
Define Your Target Industries: Winnow it down to those that both have money to spend on your services and are likely to buy those services.
Define the Target Job Title: Make sure you are working toward a relationship with the right individual (the “decision-maker”) within a targeted company.
Create Your Suspect List: If you have one already, then eliminate these entries from your prospect list.
Craft Your Message: Understand the target industry issues, or problems that keep the prospect awake at night but which your services can solve; Is it lead generation, increased conversation ratio’s, increased sales, automation, etc.?
Lay the Groundwork: Get your carefully crafted message in front of the suspects at least two or three times before having the telemarketing company call or before you call. The message can be communicated via email, letter, mailer, print advertisement, networking function presentation, trade show, etc. Priming the prospects makes them warm up to the idea of using your services before you set your foot in the door.

Microsoft Great Plains: Government & Non-Profit Organization – Workflow Implementation
Microsoft Great Plains: Government & Non-Profit Organization – Workflow Implementation
Sometimes workflow & messaging is realized in CRM and then transactions are simply logged into Accounting/ERP/MRP. Within the case of Microsoft Business Solutions product: Microsoft Nice Plains, Navision, Solomon, Axapta the natural CRM alternative would be Microsoft CRM. However typical CRM application targets Sales automation, that is sometimes not applicable to government structure, non-profit or public company (community services, public utilities, churches, charities, etc.). Not-for-profit organization wants buying and requisition workflow, payroll approval workflow, and in certain cases special General Ledger (GL) transactions workflow. Microsoft CRM doesn’t give the functionality. Then how could this be realized? We have a tendency to’ll provide 2 situations to understand this customization:
o Lotus Notes/Domino approach. In Nice Plains you could notice either Nice Plains Dexterity triggers or MS SQL database trigger on sure events (Purchase Order creation, Payroll Transaction, GL transaction). This event calls COM+ application and this one in flip creates Lotus objects via Java agent (Lotus Notes Domino should be version 6.0 or newer). This is primarily the bridge. Then in Lotus you have to style workflow – but this can be natural task for Lotus and it’s not difficult. Users ought to work in Lotus to urge transactions approved and when it should be posted in Nice Plains – Lotus calls SQL script against Great Plains company database. Developer should know Microsoft Nice Plains tables structure
o Microsoft Exchange/Outlook approach. This is often the second means – when you are doing not need to deploy Lotus Domino, and would be OK with easy messaging and notification through Microsoft Exchange. The technical realization should either involve Dexterity or SQL trigger, calling COM object (Dexterity) or simply sending notification email from MS SQL Server. The scenario to post or set out hold from Nice Plains transaction may be realized via MS Exchange event sink – this MS Exchange event handler can check all the messages and when the one has sure criteria – it calls MS SQL Server stored procedure within the Great Plains company database
o Programming Tools. Java agent to address Lotus – you wish either Sun JDK or somewhat additional advanced: VisualCafe or JBuilder. Nice Plains Dexterity trigger ought to be done in Dexterity IDE – this language requires experience and it is difficult to code while not experience, Microsoft Exchange event sink ought to be programmed in Visual Studio as COM+ application, then you wish to register COM+ application through Management Panel->System->Component Services
o Feasibility. To be honest and don’t set unrealistic expectations – this Workflow implementation is pretty serious project and we have a tendency to do not advocate if for small non-profit organization – it’s rather for large and mid-size-to-giant structure.
